Context

I thought something I wish to repattern is the disposal and use of lumber during construction.

What if there were dispensaries or repositories of unused of wood or offcuts that can be accessible for the local communities? There could be a dedicated bin just for that so sorting becomes easier later on. As soil and forests are suffering more and more, and as lumber prices are rising, we need this more than ever.

I’ve probably collected more than one ton of wood over the past 3 years and I would love to use it all but i can’t find the time and I am running out of space. I feel bad leaving nice wood around that will eventually end up in the landfill. We’ve built many pieces of furniture and little toys out of found wood, giving it another life. I am grateful for all the workers that allowed me to pick out material.
